JACKSON, N.J. — Jackson Township’s annual Easter Egg Hunt has been postponed due to inclement weather, with the event now scheduled to take place on Sunday, April 13, at the Jackson Justice Complex.

Originally planned for earlier this month, the Easter celebration will proceed this weekend at 1 Jackson Dr., featuring staggered egg hunt start times based on age and grade level. The event begins at 11:00 a.m. with designated times for children ranging from ages 3 to those in third grade and above.

The recreation department confirmed the change, citing poor weather conditions. “Postponed due to weather,” the announcement read, with the rain date prominently listed as April 13.

Full event schedule released

The updated schedule begins with handicapped and disabled children at 11:30 a.m., followed by children aged 3–4 years at 11:45 a.m., kindergarten through first grade at noon, second grade at 12:15 p.m., and third grade and up at 12:30 p.m.

In addition to the egg hunt, the township has arranged for food trucks, music, face painting, and appearances by a balloon artist and the Easter Bunny to enhance the family-friendly atmosphere.
