TOMS RIVER, N.J. – Veterans, residents, and visitors are invited to celebrate an evening of music and patriotism as Toms River Township prepares to host a free tribute concert at Shelter Cove Beach.
Mayor Daniel T. Rodrick and the township’s Recreation Department announced that Ruben the Entertainer and the Velvet Elvis Experience will headline the event on Wednesday, Aug. 19, with the show beginning at 7 p.m.
The concert is being presented as a special tribute to military veterans and is expected to feature classic Elvis Presley hits in a family-friendly waterfront setting.
Mayor Rodrick has touted the summer beach concert series as an overwhelming success as crowds pack the beachfront park and families come together both on shore, and in the bay, watching from boats.
