Myrtle Beach Police welcomes new detention officer following academy graduation
Middletown, NJ – The Myrtle Beach Police Department has officially added a new member to its ranks with the recent swearing-in of Erica Caposello as a detention officer, following her successful graduation from the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy.
Caposello, originally from Middletown, New Jersey, relocated to Myrtle Beach roughly a year and a half ago after several visits convinced her to make the move permanent. A graduate of Stockton University with a degree in criminal justice, Caposello says working in a detention facility has long been a personal goal.
In a statement released by the department, Caposello said she’s excited to begin her career and contribute to the agency’s operations. “I am happy to be a part of this team and looking forward to my future here,” she said.
The department highlighted her addition as a valuable step forward, noting her enthusiasm and commitment to public service. Caposello now joins Myrtle Beach’s “First In Service” team, which focuses on professional excellence in law enforcement and public safety.
