Juvenile Attacked, Robbed Near Springhill Lake Elementary in Greenbelt

GREENBELT, MD — A juvenile was assaulted and robbed by three suspects near Springhill Lake Elementary School on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Greenbelt Police Department.

Police reported that the incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. when the victim was approached and attacked by three juvenile males. The suspects stole the victim’s red backpack before fleeing the scene.

Authorities described one suspect as a Hispanic male wearing all-black clothing and a black Nike mask. Descriptions of the other two suspects remain unknown.

The crime was reported to police at 5:31 p.m., about an hour after the incident occurred. Officers are currently investigating and searching for the suspects.
