Police warn public not to approach the pair
WASHINGTON, DC — A late-night shooting on Stanton Road in Southeast DC triggered a police search Monday for two men dressed entirely in black who were reportedly traveling in a black sedan, according to a Metropolitan Police Department crime alert.
MPD units were investigating the shooting in the 2600 block of Stanton Road SE.
The department issued its crime alert at approximately 11:27 p.m. Monday.
Police described the individuals being sought as two Black males wearing all-black clothing and operating a black sedan.
The alert did not include the vehicle’s make, model, license plate or other identifying information.
Police did not say whether anyone was wounded or provide details about what led to the shooting.
No additional descriptions of the two men were released in the initial alert.
MPD warned members of the public not to approach the individuals. Anyone who sees them should take no action and call 911.
