Local Hatzolah Members Deploying to Israel for Medical Support

LAKEWOOD, NJ – Chevra Hatzalah, a prominent emergency medical service organization, announced on Sunday that it is sending an initial team of 11 paramedics to Israel. The deployment aims to support local emergency services, which are currently overwhelmed due to the ongoing war.

Leading the team are Michael Vatch of Queens Hatzala and Yoshi Hagler of Hatzalah of South Florida. The team also includes Moshe Bauman, a captain from Hatzolah of Central Jersey. These medics are part of the larger “HEART Team” (Hatzoloh–Emergency–Ambulance–Response–Team), trained and prepared to deploy to Israel in times of war at a moment’s notice.

Their primary mission is to offer crucial support to emergency personnel from United Hatzalah and Magen David Adom. Both organizations are at the forefront of emergency response in Israel and are currently stretched thin due to the war. “Their mission is to offer support to emergency personnel…who are responding to emergencies in Israel and are stretched thin due to their response to the ongoing war,” said Chevra Hatzalah in their announcement.

This deployment is the first in what may become multiple missions, indicating a long-term commitment to aid Israeli emergency services during this challenging period.
