Man arrested in connection with Rockville double homicide

GAITHERSBURG, Md. — Montgomery County police have arrested Kaloyan Dimov Stoev, 25, in connection with the fatal shootings of two Rockville residents early Friday morning.

Authorities say a 1st District officer discovered the first victim, 26-year-old Marcell Jordan Hebron, inside a white BMW with visible bullet holes near Shady Grove Road and Research Boulevard around 3:16 a.m. Hebron was pronounced dead at the scene.

Later that morning, at approximately 7:40 a.m., officers found a second victim, 27-year-old Leilani Marroquin, in the parking lot of 2 Research Court. Police say Marroquin sustained apparent gunshot wounds, and shell casings were recovered nearby.

Investigators linked the two killings and identified Stoev as a suspect. Police say Stoev was arrested around noon on Friday in Rockville, and two firearms were recovered during the arrest.

Stoev, whose address is currently unknown, has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder and multiple handgun-related offenses. He is being held without bond at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit.
