Man Fatally Stabbed in Brooklyn, Suspect in Custody

BROOKLYN, NY — Early Sunday morning, police were called to a scene at 7221 3rd Avenue following a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, they found 37-year-old Daryl Dawkins with a stab wound to his torso.

Emergency Medical Services rushed Dawkins to NYU Langone Hospital/Brooklyn, where he was later pronounced dead. Police have arrested 43-year-old Maurice Hartridge in connection with the incident.
