CINCINNATI, OH – Cincinnati police discovered a 43-year-old man dead from a gunshot wound in South Fairmount on Monday. Officers had been called to the 1700 block of Queen City Avenue for a welfare check at around 12 p.m.
The victim, James Hicks, was found in a home. Police have since arrested 27-year-old Johntyn Kirkland on charges of murder. Any potential relationship between the suspect and the victim remains unconfirmed.
