Man Gunned Down in Longshore Avenue Died Despite Attempts by EMS to Save His Life

PHILADELPHIA, PA — A 33-year-old man died Saturday night after being shot multiple times in Philadelphia’s 15th District, according to police.

Officers responded around 9:42 p.m. to the 4700 block of Longshore Avenue following reports of a shooting, authorities said.

When officers arrived, they found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the torso.

Police transported the man to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital in an effort to save his life, but he later died from his injuries. Authorities pronounced him dead at approximately 10:11 p.m.

Investigators have not publicly identified the victim pending family notification.
