Heavy police presence remains near Telegraph Road as deputies urgently search for 27-year-old Jesus Mora-Gomez

STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. — Deputies in Stafford County are continuing an urgent search for a missing and endangered man who disappeared overnight near Telegraph Road, prompting a large police presence in the area.

The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office said 27-year-old Jesus Mora-Gomez is believed to have gone missing sometime between 7 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday.

Authorities initially announced the search Saturday afternoon after Mora-Gomez was last seen around 9:30 p.m. near the 200 block of Telegraph Road.

Investigators said Mora-Gomez may have been wearing a gray short-sleeve T-shirt, bluish-gray pants with thin white stripes and “Lilo & Stitch” sandals when he disappeared.

Deputies described his hair as dark and similar in style to the photo released by the sheriff’s office.

Law enforcement activity has remained concentrated near the Telegraph Road area as investigators continue searching for clues tied to his disappearance.

The sheriff’s office urged anyone with information about Mora-Gomez’s whereabouts to contact emergency dispatchers immediately.
