Man on Jetski Flees Police With Two Child Passengers at the Jersey Shore

LOWER TWP., NJ — The New Jersey State Police is calling for public assistance to identify a suspect involved in a watercraft incident at a bathing beach in Lower Township, Cape May County. The incident occurred on May 25, 2024, around 3:20 p.m., involving erratic operation of a blue Yamaha personal watercraft.

Marine Services troopers attempted to conduct a stop after observing the erratic behavior. However, the situation escalated when the suspect, a white male estimated to be between 50-60 years old, failed to provide identification or vessel registration. He subsequently fled on foot after returning to shore. Notably, the suspect has a large tattoo on his back and another tattoo on his right forearm, which may help in his identification.

The New Jersey State Police urge anyone with information about this individual to contact the NJSP Atlantic City Marine Services Station at (609) 441-3589. Anonymous tips are also welcome as authorities seek to resolve this matter.
