Man Shot and Killed in Columbus

Columbus, OH – Columbus Police responded to a shooting call on Sunday at 3:19 PM in the 1400 block of Demorest Rd. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male with a gunshot wound, who was subsequently transported to Grant Medical Center in critical condition. The individual was pronounced dead at 3:47 PM.

The deceased was captured on video interacting with at least two males in a strip mall parking lot in the 1400 block of Demorest Rd. The victim drove a maroon F-150 when he met with the individuals. After the shooting, he fled northbound and lost control of the vehicle south of Bonnie Ct.

In contrast, the shooter and two other males fled into the Post Oaks apartment complex located on the west side of Demorest Rd. Residents in the area have been asked to review their surveillance footage and contact detectives with relevant information. Video evidence can be shared using a QR code or through the provided URL.
