Man shot outside liquor store in Claymont, drives himself to hospital

Claymont, DE – A 34-year-old Pennsylvania man was shot late Friday night in the parking lot of a Claymont liquor store before driving himself to a hospital, police said.

The gunfire erupted around 11:30 p.m. outside Ridge Liquors on Ridge Road. Investigators said unidentified suspects opened fire on the victim as he sat in the parking lot. Despite being wounded, the man managed to drive to a Pennsylvania hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The Delaware State Police Troop 2 Criminal Investigations Unit has taken over the case and is working to identify the suspects. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact Detective M.
