Man stabbed in mugging by trio in brutal brooklyn attack

BROOKLYN, N.Y. – A 45-year-old man was left fighting for his life after three assailants repeatedly stabbed him and stole his belongings during a violent street robbery early Monday morning.

The assault unfolded around 1 a.m. in front of 371 Van Siclen Avenue, police said.

After the stabbing, the attackers stripped the man of his jacket, backpack, watch, and cellphone before running off toward Sutter Avenue.

Victim critically injured in East New York assault

According to investigators, the 45-year-old victim was ambushed by three unidentified individuals who stabbed him several times in the head and torso, leaving him bleeding on the sidewalk. EMS rushed him to One Brooklyn Health–Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where he was listed in critical but stable condition.

Attackers flee with stolen property

After the attack, the suspects took the victim’s personal belongings, including his jacket, backpack, watch, and cellphone, before fleeing westbound on Sutter Avenue. Detectives from the 75th Precinct canvassed the area for surveillance footage and witnesses but have not yet released descriptions of the attackers.

Police seeking leads in violent robbery

Authorities are investigating whether the assault was a targeted robbery or a random act of violence. No arrests have been made, and police are asking anyone with information to contact the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hotline.
