BALTIMORE, M.D. — The Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal announced Tuesday that its teams have responded to 29 incidents across Maryland and Virginia over the past 96 hours.

Deputy State Fire Marshals, Bomb Technicians, and K9 units were deployed to a range of emergencies, including house fires, burn patient incidents, bomb squad standbys, mailbox explosions, and the recovery of an inert bazooka round.

Officials noted that all regional units, including the bomb squad, have been actively responding to calls around the clock.

In addition to emergency responses, fire safety inspectors and professional staff continue to conduct daily inspections, review engineering plans, handle public inquiries, and collect safety data.
