Police are searching for seven suspects after repeated damage near an elementary school
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ – A group of seven suspects is being sought after a homeowner’s vinyl fence was repeatedly targeted near a Gloucester Township elementary school, with surveillance cameras capturing four people walking to the property and damaging the fence during a series of incidents, police said.
The criminal mischief occurred in late July and early August along Glen Bernie Drive and Williamstown Road, near James W. Lilley Elementary School, according to Gloucester Township Police.
Police released surveillance video and images showing seven people they are seeking to identify in connection with the incidents.
Cameras captured four of the seven pictured suspects traveling on foot and damaging the resident’s vinyl fence, according to the department.
Police said several members of the group appeared to take steps to conceal their identities.
Some were wearing face masks and heavy clothing despite the summer temperatures, according to police.
The department did not disclose the extent of the damage to the fence or provide an estimated repair cost.
Police also did not say how many separate incidents occurred beyond describing the damage as happening on several occasions during late July and early August.
No arrests were announced.
Gloucester Township Police are asking anyone who recognizes a person shown in the released video or photographs to contact the department at 856-228-4500.

Police noted that the anonymous tip system is not monitored around the clock. Incidents requiring immediate police assistance should be reported directly to the department, while emergencies and crimes in progress should be reported through 911.
The search now centers on the surveillance footage as investigators work to identify the seven people pictured in connection with the repeated property damage.
