Lucky Brooklyn Powerball ticket cashes in $150K after Power Play boost
BROOKLYN, NY — A Powerball player in Brooklyn is holding a ticket worth $150K after a Power Play multiplier boosted the prize during Wednesday night’s drawing, according to the New York Lottery.
The winning ticket was sold at Ave T King Gourmet Mini Market located at 5819 Avenue T in Brooklyn.
Lottery officials said the ticket matched enough numbers to secure a third-prize win before the Power Play option increased the payout to $150,000.
Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.
Players who purchase the Power Play option can multiply non-jackpot winnings by up to 10 times depending on the multiplier drawn.
The New York Lottery remains the largest and most profitable lottery in North America, contributing billions annually to public schools across New York State.
