Lucky Pharmacy sale delivers second-tier Millionaire for Life prize worth $2.2M cash option
TRENTON, N.J. — A single lottery ticket sold in Middlesex County has turned into a life-changing prize after matching all five white balls in the New Jersey Lottery’s “Millionaire for Life” drawing, earning $100,000 a year for life, officials said.
The winning ticket for the Friday, May 29 drawing was purchased at Woodlane Pharmacy, located at 18 Throckmorton Lane, Suite 101, in Old Bridge.
Lottery officials said the player matched the five white balls—09, 25, 33, 35, and 42—to secure the second-tier “for life” prize. The Millionaire Ball was 02.
The prize offers $100,000 annually for life, with a cash value option of $2.2 million.
New Jersey Lottery Executive Director James Carey said the state continues to see strong participation in the relatively new game, which launched earlier this year in collaboration with multiple states and Washington, D.C.
Millionaire for Life is a $5 draw game offering multiple prize tiers, including a top prize of $1 million a year for life or an $18 million cash option. Drawings are held daily at 11:15 p.m.
The game offers nine different ways to win, with prizes ranging from $8 up to the life-changing annual payouts.
Lottery officials noted that overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 8.47.
The New Jersey Lottery has contributed nearly $34.7 billion to the state since 1970, with proceeds currently supporting public employee pension funding under a long-term state agreement.
