NEW YORK CITY, NY – In an update as of Wednesday, the New York City Police Department has confirmed that Sylvia Whittaker, a missing 76-year-old woman from Brooklyn, has been found safe.
Whittaker, a resident of 880 Gates Avenue, had been reported missing since Monday.
She was last seen leaving her residence around 5:10 pm.
While initial reports had lacked information on her clothing at the time, Whittaker was described as approximately 5’2″ tall, weighing about 180 lbs, with brown eyes and short black hair.
The successful resolution of this case underscores the valuable role public cooperation plays in such investigations.
