Montgomery Armed Robbers of Ethiopian Restaurant Caught On Camera

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MARYLAND – Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department’s Major Crimes Division are intensifying their search for suspects involved in the armed robbery of Shalla Ethiopian Restaurant. The incident occurred in the 8000 block of Sligo Avenue on Thursday, December 21.

In a new development, detectives have obtained and released surveillance footage showing the suspects fleeing in a red/maroon four-door sedan. The video, sourced from a nearby business’s surveillance system, captures critical details of the suspects’ escape vehicle.

The Montgomery County Police Department urges anyone with information about the suspects or the vehicle to come forward. Informants are encouraged to contact Crime Solvers of Montgomery County, MD, either through their website at www.crimesolversmcmd.org or by calling 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the suspects. Tips can be submitted anonymously.
