U.S. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi defended President Joe Biden’s botched American withdrawal from Afghanistan as ‘remarkable’.
She called America’s largest ever retreat from a battlezone, “Remarkable” despite 13 U.S. servicemembers being killed by a terrorist blast in the mayhem and confusion that plagued the entire operation on the ground.
“This is never easy. That’s not always complete,” she said. “Right from the start, but it was remarkable even though it got off to a hazy start.”
