STATEN ISLAND, NY — A couple selling pro-Donald Trump merchandise is now homeless after their bus crashed into street signs and utility poles around noon on Sunday in Staten Island. The incident left the vehicle, which also served as their home, severely damaged.
Donna Eiden and Rocky Granata, along with their cat Missy, had been living in the bus, adorned with Trump flags and posters.
Eiden, who was inside the parked bus when it unexpectedly began to roll down Hylan Boulevard, experienced the crash first-hand. The aftermath showed significant damage to the bus, with its side torn open and Trump signs scattered around the scene.
Eiden, who was extracted from the wrecked bus by firefighters, fortunately did not require medical treatment.
She expressed deep personal loss, noting that the bus not only housed her family and their business but also carried her daughter’s ashes.
The bus had been a familiar sight at Trump rallies across the country before the unfortunate crash.
In April, Granata was attacked with a hammer in Middletown.
