TRENTON, NJ – The New Jersey Division of Fish & Wildlife is asking visitors to the state’s many wildlife management areas (WMA) to follow the rules and practice safe social distancing this weekend.   While the WMA’s have not closed, there have been reports of large gatherings in the past weeks and officials are asking to follow these simple rules.

While you’re out enjoying Wildlife Management Areas, please abide by the regulations:
• NO alcoholic beverages
• NO off-roading
• NO ATVs
• NO camping, swimming or fires
• WMAs are closed 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. unless you are engaged in regulated hunting, fishing or trapping activities.
• WMAs are “carry in – carry out”; trash / recycling receptacles are not provided.

Keeping our Wildlife Management Areas open during this time is up to you! Please continue to exercise safe social distancing procedures.

WMAs are patrolled by NJ Fish and Wildlife Conservation Police Officers to ensure public safety. If you see violations while visiting a WMA, please call the 24-hour DEP hotline at 877-WARN-DEP (877-927-6337).
