QUEENS, NY — On Wednesday afternoon, the New York City Police Department made an arrest connected to a recent burglary within the 111th Precinct. Rostas Malin, a 45-year-old male from Queens, was taken into custody at 4:30 PM. Malin faces charges of second-degree burglary and petit larceny.

The incident occurred on Sunday, March 3, at approximately 12:18 PM, when an unknown individual gained entry to the American Martyrs RC Church on 79-43 Bell Boulevard by impersonating someone else.

The suspect stole $900 in cash from an unlocked bedroom inside the church and then fled the scene in a dark-colored sedan heading southbound on Bell Boulevard. The 63-year-old male victim was unharmed during the incident.
