QUEENS, NY – The NYPD is searching for a suspect wanted in a violent robbery that left a 58-year-old man shaken after being attacked from behind late Sunday night in Corona. Detectives say the victim was assaulted near 108th Street and 48th Avenue around 10:38 p.m. on February 8.

According to investigators, the unidentified attacker grabbed the victim by the neck, dragged him to the pavement, and forcibly took his wallet before fleeing on foot toward an unknown location. The wallet contained U.S. currency, bank cards, and personal items, police said.

Authorities described the assault as sudden and unprovoked. The victim did not suffer life-threatening injuries but was treated for pain and bruising. The suspect’s identity and direction of flight remain unknown.
