The NYPD is seeking the public’s help identifying a suspect accused of robbing a man at gunpoint and assaulting him during an early morning attack in the Bronx. The victim was punched multiple times before the suspect fled with his wallet and cellphone, according to investigators.

The incident occurred at approximately 5:35 a.m. on Sunday, May 17, near the intersection of Bronx Park East and Waring Avenue within the confines of the NYPD’s 49th Precinct.
According to police, the 58-year-old victim was approached by an unidentified individual who displayed a firearm and demanded his belongings.
Victim Assaulted During Robbery
Investigators said the suspect punched the victim multiple times in the face before forcibly taking his wallet and cellphone. The extent of the victim’s injuries was not immediately released.
After obtaining the victim’s property, the suspect fled the area on foot.
Police said the individual was last seen traveling eastbound on Waring Avenue.
