According to the NYPD, the incident took place around 2:40 p.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. A 15-year-old boy was standing on the platform when an unidentified individual approached him from behind, pushed him, and forcibly removed a gold chain from his neck.

The suspect fled the station on foot immediately after the robbery and has not been located. The victim was not injured.

Detectives from the NYPD Transit Bureau are investigating the incident and are reviewing surveillance video from the station and nearby areas to identify the suspect. Authorities have not released a physical description at this time.
