Police released surveillance images of a man wanted after a 17-year-old girl was allegedly groped while walking in the Bronx.
Bronx, NY – The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a man wanted in connection with a forcible touching incident involving a teenage girl in the Bronx.
According to the NYPD Crime Stoppers, the incident occurred at approximately 8:50 a.m. Tuesday, April 28, outside 61 East 182nd Street within the confines of the 46th Precinct.
Teen approached from behind
Police said a 17-year-old girl was walking along the street when an unidentified man approached her from behind and grabbed her buttocks over her clothing.
The suspect fled the area on foot in an unknown direction before officers arrived. Authorities have not released additional information about the suspect or a possible motive.
Public asked to help identify suspect
Detectives are urging anyone who recognizes the individual or has information about the incident to contact investigators.
“Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or, for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782),” the department said in its alert.
