A 22-year-old man suffered a facial laceration after an armed suspect allegedly slashed him near East 167th Street and River Avenue, police said.
Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a daytime knife attack in the Bronx that left a 22-year-old man injured.
According to NYPD Crimestoppers, the assault occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Monday, May 18, at the intersection of East 167th Street and River Avenue within the confines of the 44th Precinct.
Victim injured during confrontation
Authorities said the victim was approached by an unidentified individual before the encounter turned violent. The suspect allegedly displayed a knife and slashed the victim in the face.

The attack caused a laceration to the victim’s face. Police did not release additional information regarding the victim’s condition or whether the suspect and victim knew each other.

Investigators are continuing to search for the individual responsible for the assault. No arrests have been announced in the case.
