Oak Ridge Parkway Milling and Paving to Repair Bumpy Ride for Residents

TOMS RIVER, NJ – The bumpy ride up and down Oak Ridge Parkway in Toms River May soon be coming to an end according to Township officials today. For months, the uneven pavement along Oak Ridge Parkway wreaked havoc on shocks and tires but according to Toms River mayor Maurice Hill’s personal public information officer art Gallagher, those bumps and bruises will soon come to an end.

“Veolia and its contractor will be working on the last phase of its water main replacement program started earlier this year with milling and paving on Oak Ridge Parkway Toms River,” said Gallagher, the mayor’s campaign political consultant who also earns $90,000 to write press releases and take photos of Hill and other aligned party officials. “Crews are scheduled to work, weather permitting, on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 to mill and on Thursday, September 8, 2022 to final pave on Oak Ridge Parkway from Route 37 to Sands Point Drive as well as at the Intersection of Oak Ridge Parkway and Cardinal Drive.”

Gallagher said today that access to Oak Ridge Parkway will be temporarily closed and detoured.

“As a result, access to Oak Ridge Parkway from Route 37 Westbound will have a temporary closure with a detour to Cardinal Drive until the work is completed,” Gallagher wrote. “Oak Ridge Parkway vehicular traffic traveling North to South towards Route 37 will experience lane shifts during the project.”

Parking will also be restricted on the road and Gallagher said he’ll and the Toms River Police Department will be enforcing traffic control measures during the term of this project

“No Parking” signs will be posted in designated areas, and police and traffic control will be on site of the project, Gallagher added in his press release written on behalf of Hill and the township.

A bulletin was posted to the township’s Facebook today which is operated and managed by Gallagher.
