Ocean County illegal migrant held without bail on child endangerment and drug-related charges

TOMS RIVER, NJ – An Ocean County man identified as Genaro Perez-Lozano was taken into custody Thursday and is being held without bail following multiple criminal charges, including child endangerment, possession of controlled substances, and providing false information to law enforcement.

According to inmate records, Perez-Lozano, 50, was booked into the Ocean County Correctional Facility on January 16. He faces several active cases, including two counts of endangering the welfare of a child under statute 2C:24-4A, one count of hindering apprehension by providing false information to police, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a Schedule I through IV controlled substance.

Court documents list both endangerment counts as second-degree offenses, the most serious among the charges, while the remaining violations are classified as lesser third- or fourth-degree charges. One prior case record indicates a previously posted $1,000 cash bond that was later dismissed, but all current charges remain open with “no bail” status.

A detainer has also been lodged by U.S. Immigration authorities, identified in records as “IMMIGRATION US,” which could impact any future release proceedings.
