Ohio players win big in Classic Lotto, Powerball, and Rolling Cash 5 jackpots
CLEVELAND, OH – A wave of major wins swept across Ohio this week as players scored six- and seven-figure prizes in multiple lottery games, including Classic Lotto, Powerball, and Rolling Cash 5.
The biggest win came on December 6, when an auto-pick Classic Lotto ticket purchased at Smitty’s Cruise-Thru in Tipp City matched all six numbers—11, 19, 27, 41, 43, 44—to secure the $11.4 million jackpot. It marks one of the largest Classic Lotto payouts in recent months.
In the same drawing, a second Classic Lotto player matched all five KICKER numbers—3-2-0-1-1-6—and won $100,000. That ticket was sold at Millcreek Food Mart in Youngstown.
Two days later, on December 8, more winning tickets emerged. A Rolling Cash 5 player in Columbus won a $389,000 jackpot using numbers picked at Geny’s Tax and Multiservices. That same day, a Powerball ticket purchased at Rarden 1st Stop in Rarden matched four white balls and the Powerball, earning the third-tier $100,000 prize.
None of the major prizes have been claimed as of Tuesday, and winners have 180 days from the draw date to come forward.
While Ohio celebrated its winners, no ticket nationwide matched all numbers in the December 8 Powerball drawing. The jackpot has now rolled to an estimated $930 million for the next drawing on Wednesday.
Since 1974, the Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $34 billion to public education.
