GREENE COUNTY, OH—Christopher Murray, a former assistant prosecutor in Greene County, was terminated from his position following a road rage incident where he allegedly bit off a man’s finger. The altercation occurred around 12:30 AM on June 30 after the victim honked at Murray’s vehicle, which was stopped at a traffic light on Woodman Drive at the overpass of U.S. Route 35, approximately 210 miles southwest of Cleveland.
Responding to a “fight in progress” call, Riverside Police Department officers arrived to find the 43-year-old victim with significant bleeding, missing his middle finger at the distal interphalangeal joint.
According to the police report, passersby described seeing one individual in a headlock and significant blood at the scene. Medics were summoned to treat the victim’s severe injury.
The incident escalated when Murray reportedly exited his vehicle to confront the victim, who had sounded his horn due to Murray not moving at a green light.
Murray is alleged to have approached the victim’s car, initiating a physical confrontation that led to the severe injury. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
