TULSA, OK – On 1/27/2022 around 1:30 a.m., officers were called out to a crash involving a car and a pedestrian at 5900 S. Lewis Ave.
When officers got on the scene, the pedestrian was still stuck underneath the Lexus hatchback.
The driver of the car said they were driving southbound on Lewis when at the last minute, they saw the pedestrian standing in the middle of Lewis Ave., and the pedestrian then jumped in front of the vehicle.
Firefighters with the Tulsa Fire Department helped lift the hatchback up to free the pedestrian. The pedestrian died on the scene.
The accident is under investigation. At this time, the driver is not being charged.
