Pedestrian struck on Route 12N in Utica, condition unknown

UTICA, N.Y. — The Utica Police Department is investigating a car-versus-pedestrian accident that occurred on Route 12 North at Noyes Street.

The pedestrian was transported by the Utica Fire Department to Wynn Hospital. Their condition has not been released.

The department’s Accident Reconstruction Team is en route to conduct an investigation. Authorities have closed Route 12 North from Burrstone Road to Court Street for an extended period.

Police have advised motorists to seek alternate routes.
