Pennsylvania man held without bond after alleged armed road rage incident in maryland — Police light

PIKESVILLE, Md. — A Pennsylvania man is being held without bond in the Baltimore County Detention Center following an alleged road rage incident on Interstate 83 in which he is accused of brandishing a firearm at another driver, Maryland State Police said.

The suspect, identified as Gary Douglas, 40, of Glen Rock, Pa., was arrested on October 9 at Fort Meade in Anne Arundel County. He faces multiple felony charges, including two counts of assault, use of a firearm during a felony, and various handgun offenses.

According to police, the incident occurred on southbound I-83 when Douglas, driving a gray Toyota Corolla, allegedly pointed a firearm at a motorist who was traveling with her 10-year-old child. No injuries were reported.

Troopers from the Golden Ring Barrack responded to the initial call. Investigators later located the Corolla at Fort Meade, where, with the assistance of the Department of the Army Criminal Investigation Division, they executed a search warrant. A loaded handgun was found inside the vehicle, leading to Douglas’ arrest.

Douglas is being held without bond as the investigation continues. Authorities have not released the identity of the complainant.
