PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — A 45-year-old man is in stable condition after being shot in the back of the head on the 1300 block of North Wanamaker Street on Wednesday afternoon, police said.
The incident occurred at approximately 4:40 p.m. in Philadelphia’s 19th District. According to police, the man was transported to Lankenau Hospital by a private vehicle that departed the scene shortly afterward. Authorities have not provided details about the individuals who transported the victim.
The shooting scene remains secured by police as investigators work to gather evidence. No weapon has been recovered, and no suspects are currently in custody.
Philadelphia police are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward as the investigation is ongoing.
