PHILADELPHIA — Authorities are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect involved in a triple shooting on a SEPTA Route “G” bus on Tuesday afternoon. The incident occurred around 4:33 p.m. on October 8 in the 700 block of South 57th Street, the Philadelphia Police Department said.
The suspect, described as a Black male with a medium build, shoulder-length dreadlocks, and a light beard, was last seen wearing a black Under Armour zip-up jacket over a white t-shirt, black pants, gray sneakers, and a blue surgical mask. Police warn that the suspect is considered armed and dangerous and urge anyone who sees him to avoid approaching and instead call 911 immediately.
The shooting left three women injured, all of whom were transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and are in stable condition. The victims include a 29-year-old woman shot in the right buttocks, a 60-year-old woman who sustained a graze wound to the head, and a 56-year-old woman shot in the lower back.
No arrests have been made, and the weapon used in the shooting has not been recovered. The investigation is ongoing, and police have secured the scene for further examination.
