Police investigating deadly shooting at Chesapeake pool hall

Officers found one man dead Monday evening at Long Shots Pools and Darts on South Military Highway.

CHESAPEAKE, Va. – Chesapeake police are investigating a homicide that occurred Monday evening at a pool hall on South Military Highway, authorities confirmed.

Officers responded to 1125 South Military Highway, the location of Long Shots Pools and Darts, around 6:55 p.m. following reports of a shooting. When they arrived, police found an adult male victim inside the establishment. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives and forensic personnel remained on-site for several hours as they gathered evidence and interviewed witnesses. Police have not released the victim’s name or disclosed any potential motive or suspect information.

Investigation remains ongoing

Authorities said the investigation is in its early stages and are asking anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the shooting to come forward with information. No arrests have been announced.
