CHESAPEAKE, VA — Police are searching for a woman accused of using false identification to buy a laptop worth about $1,700 from a city retailer.
The purchase happened July 24.
Investigators said the woman entered a business in the 4100 block of Portsmouth Boulevard at about 6:31 p.m. and presented the false identification.
Police released her photograph.
She wore a pink and dark-colored ball cap, a pink T-shirt bearing the word “LUCKY,” dark jeans, pink sneakers and a black crossbody bag.
Detectives are investigating possible identity theft, credit card theft, credit card fraud and computer fraud in connection with the purchase.
No arrest has been announced.
