Queens, NY – A 15-year-old boy was slashed in the hand during a robbery on a Queens subway platform Tuesday afternoon after a group of individuals confronted him and demanded his property, police said.
The incident occurred at approximately 1 p.m. on the southbound 7 train platform at the 90 Street Station, within the confines of the 115th Precinct and Transit District 20, according to the NYPD.
Authorities said the teen was approached by multiple unidentified individuals who demanded his belongings. A physical altercation followed, and one of the suspects displayed a knife and cut the victim on the hand. The group then exited the station and fled on foot in an unknown direction.
The victim sustained a laceration to his hand. Police did not immediately release additional details regarding his condition.
Investigators are working to identify the suspects and determine whether the group may be connected to other incidents in the area. Surveillance footage from the station is being reviewed as part of the ongoing investigation.
