Evening enforcement effort continues as officers remove impaired driver from busy Monmouth County highway

Wall Township, NJ – Tuesday, May 26, 2026 – A 63-year-old Toms River woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop on State Highway 34 at 8:28 PM.

Patrolman Joshua Wheeler conducted the stop and identified the driver as Kim Barrett. Officers determined impairment during the investigation, resulting in her arrest and subsequent release under John’s Law.

No injuries were reported.

The arrest was part of a broader enforcement period that included multiple DWI-related incidents across the township.
