Rumson Police Now Contemplating Charges for Pink Floyd Gathering

RUMSON-The Rumson Police Department issued a statement today saying the matter of the illegal coronavirus party in its town is still being investigating and charges may be filed.  This comes after police reported a disturbance of a Pink Floyd acoustic gathering attended by a group of residents in the 30’s and 40’s.

Upon dispersing the crowd, some shouted, “F8ck the police!” and called police officers Nazis, according to a report published by the department.

However, after Governor Phil Murphy and Attorney General Gurbir Grewal announced stiff penalties for those who host coronavirus parties against the governor’s emergency state of the orders and in the face of those who are trying to stay healthy and safe, no citations were issued.

“On behalf of Chief Scott Paterson, the Rumson Police Department has received some inquiries regarding the status of charging the people involved in party,” the department said. “The matter is presently under investigation by the Rumson Police Department and charges are pending. A post will be made once the subject(s) have been served with a criminal complaint.”

If you insist on jamming to some Pink Floyd while observing the stay at home order, you can check out their channel on YouTube or download some of their songs on Amazon.

What you shouldn’t do is grab a bunch of your Ivy league buddies and invite the town to come watch you play guitar on your front lawn.
