The allegations stem from a report made to Roselle police on Monday, April 7, prompting an investigation that led to Genao’s arrest just days later.

Genao has been charged with two counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child by sexual contact and two counts of third-degree aggravated criminal sexual contact, according to Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel.
Authorities say the suspect worked as a school bus aide and appeared to target teenage victims with autism who rode on his bus. One of the victims is non-verbal, adding to concerns about their vulnerability and ability to report abuse.
The investigation involved the Roselle Police Department Detective Bureau and the Union County Prosecutor’s Office.
