Teen Arrested in Greenwood Robbery Case
**Greenwood, DE** – Delaware State Police have apprehended a 16-year-old from Greenwood, Delaware, following a robbery incident in the area.
Officers responded to a robbery report on Mile Stretch Road in Greenwood on Wednesday at approximately 3:25 p.m. According to the investigation, the 16-year-old victim agreed to buy a dirt bike from the suspect. The victim drove with the suspect to the location of the dirt bike when the suspect brandished a firearm and took the victim’s money before fleeing. The victim was unharmed during the incident.
Troopers conducted a search and found the suspect on Newton Way, where he was detained after a brief struggle. A search of the suspect yielded the stolen money and a loaded 9mm handgun reported stolen in March to the Delaware State Police.
Subsequently, the suspect was taken to Troop 5 where he faced multiple charges. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3 and remanded to Stevenson House Detention Center with a cash bond of $69,000. The charges include robbery, possession of a firearm, and theft among others.
