Shooting in McKeesport Leaves One in Critical Condition

McKeesport, PA – A shooting Tuesday night in McKeesport ended with one victim being rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

At around 11:42 pm on Tuesday, The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit responded to a request for assistance in response to gunshots.

“At approximately 11:42 pm on March 29, 2022, McKeesport Police was notified of Shot Spotter Alert in the 1400 block of Sumac Street,” the department said. “Officers arrived and found evidence of a shooting at that location. A short time later, an adult male victim arrived at a local hospital suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.”

The victim is currently in critical condition. Homicide detectives initiated an investigation. No suspects have been identified at this time.
