BRONX, NY – A violent altercation on Walton Avenue resulted in a shooting that left a 31-year-old man critically injured. The incident took place inside 1356 Walton Avenue.

On Sunday, January 21, at approximately 10:15 PM, the victim became involved in a dispute with another individual known to him. During the confrontation, the assailant retrieved a firearm and shot the victim in the right side of the chest. Following the shooting, the suspect fled the scene heading south on Walton Avenue.

The injured man was quickly transported to NYC Health and Hospital/Lincoln by emergency medical services, where he is currently listed in critical but stable condition.
