Victim survived the early-morning shooting on Sanford Place
BALTIMORE, MD — A ShotSpotter alert sent Baltimore officers racing to Sanford Place early Sunday, where they found a 32-year-old man suffering from multiple apparent gunshot wounds in a shooting he is expected to survive, according to Baltimore Police.
Western District patrol officers responded to the 500 block of Sanford Place at approximately 2:09 a.m. after the gunfire detection system generated an alert.
Officers arrived and located the wounded man.
The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Police said he is expected to survive his injuries.
Baltimore Police did not release the victim’s identity.
The department also did not provide information about a possible suspect, motive or circumstances leading up to the gunfire.
Western District detectives are investigating.
