Victims range in age from 17 to 21, police said.
BALTIMORE, Md. — Six people between the ages of 17 and 21 were shot Sunday night in South Baltimore, including one victim who remained in critical condition after gunfire erupted near Hollins Ferry Road, according to Baltimore Police.
Officers responded at approximately 9:45 p.m. to the area of the 2600 block of Hollins Ferry Road after receiving reports of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found two victims — an 18-year-old man and a 21-year-old man — suffering from gunshot wounds. Medics transported both to area hospitals. Police said the 18-year-old was listed in stable condition, while the 21-year-old underwent surgery and remained in critical condition.
Investigators later learned that another 18-year-old man walked into a fire station on Annapolis Road seeking treatment for non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital and was listed in stable condition.
A short time later, three more victims arrived separately at area hospitals with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Police said the additional victims were two 17-year-old males and a 19-year-old male.
In total, six victims ranging in age from 17 to 21 were injured in the shooting.
Southern District detectives are investigating what led to the gunfire.
